ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Pioneer Football League recognized 728 student-athletes from its 11 member institutions on the 2024 PFL Academic Honor Roll. It is the third consecutive year the league has recognized over 700 student-athletes on its honor roll.
A complete listing of all student-athletes named to the honor roll, listed alphabetically by member school, follows this release.
Davidson College’s 85 student-athletes on the Fall 2024 PFL Honor Roll ties the conference record set by the University of Dayton in 2019. Marist University and Valparaiso University also set program records with 83 and 80 student-athletes listed, respectively. The Red Foxes and Beacons become the fourth and fifth programs to place 80 student-athletes on the honor roll in a given semester.
Dayton’s 79 student-athletes recognized marks the 12th consecutive honor roll list to include more than 70 Flyers, and it is the 13th time in the honor roll’s 24 presentations. Presbyterian College and the University of San Diego also set program records with 66 and 61 athletes recognized, respectively.
Pioneer Football League athletic director and coaches established the honor roll in 2001 to recognize the league’s outstanding student-athletes. The league has recognized over 11,000 student-athletes on the PFL Academic Honor Roll in its 23 seasons.
The PFL Academic Honor Roll consists of student-athletes who participated in football at member institutions during the semester of competition and posted a 3.0 grade-point average or higher during the semester while enrolled full-time in accordance with NCAA rules.
About the Pioneer Football League
The Pioneer Football League is the only non-scholarship, football-only NCAA Football Championship Subdivision conference. The PFL is a truly national conference with members on each coast and throughout the nation’s heartland. Butler University, the University of Dayton, Drake University, and Valparaiso University were among the league’s founding members in 1993, with Davidson College, Marist College, Morehead State University, Presbyterian College, the University of San Diego, the University of St. Thomas, and Stetson University joining to form the current 11-team league.
