Morehead State picked up its first victory of the season Thursday, scoring 68 points in the first half of a 75-24 victory against Kentucky Christian at Phil Simms Stadium.

MOREHEAD, Ky. – David Parsons threw five touchdown passes as Morehead State defeated Kentucky Christian 75-24 Thursday at Phil Simms Stadium, giving the Eagles their first victory of the season.
Morehead State scored 27 points in the opening quarter before erupting for 41 in the second to take a 68-17 halftime lead. Parsons directed the offensive surge, completing 10 of 14 passes for 304 yards and five touchdowns without an interception. The Eagles finished with seven touchdown passes and added two rushing scores.
Cross Watson caught four passes for 132 yards and three touchdowns, while Anthony Ice had five receptions for a game-high 163 yards and a touchdown. Cannon Dinger added two receptions for 35 yards, with both going for touchdowns. Craig Cunningham scored twice on the ground as Morehead State accumulated 198 rushing yards to complement its 406 passing yards.
Morehead State’s defense also contributed to the scoring barrage. The Eagles intercepted Kentucky Christian quarterback Xavier Phillips three times, with Isaiah Watts returning an interception 47 yards for a touchdown and Sidney Webb adding a 39-yard interception return for a score. Phillips finished 20-of-33 passing for 244 yards and a touchdown, while Jakari Blackman led Kentucky Christian with four catches for 94 yards.
