PRINCETON, N.J. – Adam Criter ran for three fourth-quarter touchdowns, powering San Diego to a 42-35 victory against Princeton on Saturday at Princeton Stadium. The Toreros overcame a slow start that saw the Tigers score 21 unanswered first-quarter points. The two teams combined for five touchdowns in the second quarter, with San Diego scoring 21 points to trail 35-21 at halftime. Neither team scored again until 9:50 remaining in the game Criter scored his first touchdown on a four-yard run. After Princeton fumbled on the first play of its ensuing possession, San Diego needed just three plays to cover the 32 yards with Criter breaking through for a 24-yard touchdown run to tie the game. The Toreros defense stood up again, forcing a three-and-out on the game’s next possession. San Diego then drove 81 yards in 11 plays, with Criter providing the winning touch on an eight-yard touchdown run. Criter finished with 105 yards and three touchdowns on 25 carries. South Dakota def. Drake, 42-21

VERMILLION, S.D. – South Dakota raced out to a 42-7 lead midway through the third quarter and fended off a late Drake charge for a 42-21 victory on Saturday at The DakotaDome. Drake got on the board midway through the second quarter on Logan Inagawa’s one-yard touchdown run. But South Dakota scored the game’s next four touchdowns to build a 42-7 advantage with 8:29 left in the third quarter. Drake battled back with two touchdowns in the fourth quarter, both with Inagawa involved as he ran for a one-yard touchdown run and threw a six-yard touchdown to Chase Schutty. Inagawa completed 15-of-19 passes for 164 yards, ran for 73 yards on 19 carries and was responsible for all three Bulldogs touchdowns.

However, the Fighting Hawks responded immediately as Sawyer Seidl returned the opening kickoff 92 yards for a touchdown to jump-start the hosts' second half. Weber State opened up a 13-0 lead in the first quarter as its defense did not allow a Butler first down in the frame. Butler turned the tide with a 75-yard drive that finished in an Ethan Loss two-yard touchdown run less than five minutes into the second quarter, cutting the deficit to 13-7. But Weber State scored the game’s next two touchdowns to extend the lead back to 27-7 before the Bulldogs responded with the half’s final 10 points, to close within 27-17 at halftime.
