DAYTON, Ohio – Drake made two second-quarter touchdowns stand up as it downed Dayton, 14-6, at Welcome Stadium. The Bulldogs scored on back-to-back possessions in the second frame. Logan Inagawa capped an 11-play, 99-yard drive with a three-yard touchdown run with 12:16 left in the half. After forcing a punt on Dayton’s ensuing possession, Drake needed only two plays to score again, thanks to Nick Herman’s 66-yard touchdown run with 8:49 left to give the Bulldogs a 14-0 halftime lead. Dayton would get into the red zone two more times, but suffered a turnover on downs and a missed field goal before Michael Mussari found the end zone on a 23-yard run with 8:40 left in the game, but its final three possessions resulted in a turnover on downs, a fumble, and the final horn. Herman finished the day with 153 rushing yards on 15 carries to power Drake’s offense. Dayton’s Gavin Lochow ran for 99 yards on 17 carries.

ST. PAUL, Minn. – Presbyterian used two fourth-quarter touchdowns to hold off St. Thomas’ second-half push and secure a 23-9 victory at O’Shaughnessy Stadium. Presbyterian scored the first half’s only points as Jett Jackson hit a 42-yard field goal and Collin Hurst connected with Zach Switzer for a 13-yard touchdown pass for a 10-0 lead. St. Thomas battled back in the third quarter as Ben Holland made a 34-yard field goal before Braden Smith provided a pick-six of 36 yards, but a missed PAT left the Tommies trailing 10-9 after three quarters. Presbyterian responded to the pick-six with a seven-play, 79-yard drive that Hurst finished with a 31-yard touchdown pass to Dominic Kibby and a 17-9 lead. Nathan Levicki provided an insurance TD with 1:57 left to set the final score. Hurst completed 17-of-24 passes for 237 yards and two touchdowns. Peters completed 16-of-31 passes for 144 yards for St. Thomas.
San Diego def. Butler, 29-7
SAN DIEGO – San Diego scored 23 points in the fourth quarter to power past Butler, 29-7, at Torero Stadium. Butler took a 7-6 lead with 12 seconds left in the third quarter after Reagan Andrew found Brady Preston for a 10-yard touchdown pass. But San Diego got a safety after Butler saw a snap sail past its punter and into the end zone. On its next possession, the Toreros' Matt Colombo added to the lead with an eight-yard touchdown run. San Diego’s defense stepped up again with an interception, and that turned into the next San Diego touchdown with Dom Nankil finding Josh Heverly for a 43-yard touchdown pass and a 22-7 lead. Adam Criter added the game’s final score with a four-yard touchdown run with 31 seconds left. Colombo ran for 110 yards on 21 carries while Nankil completed 9-of-17 passes for 218 yards. Andrew completed 14-of-23 passes for 141 yards and ran for 48 yards.
Valparaiso def. Stetson, 32-31 (OT)
VALPARAISO, Ind. – Valparaiso rallied from a 24-0 deficit over the final 20 minutes and scored a two-point conversion after its overtime touchdown to defeat Stetson 32-31 at Brown Field. Stetson built its 24-0 lead on touchdown runs by Michael Dempsey, Cayden Betts, and Chris Stephenson, the later of those coming with 5:21 remaining in the third quarter. Valparaiso started its charge back with two touchdowns in the third quarter as Rowan Keefe found Ryan Ricketti for a 55-yard touchdown and Noah Long ran for an 11-yard touchdown. But Valparaiso would not score again until Keefe found Devin Yeats for a two-yard touchdown and the Beacons converted the two-point try to tie the game. In the extra period, Stetson set the benchmark with its Stephenson-to-Dylan Redmon touchdown pass. But Valparaiso replied with Keefe’s two-yard score and grabbed the win with its third two-point conversion. Keefe completed 18-of-26 passes for 204 yards and two touchdowns. Stetson’s Cayden Betts ran for 125 yards on 15 carries.
Marist def. Davidson, 37-10
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Marist scored the second half’s only points to push past Davidson, 37-10 at Tenney Stadium. Davidson tied the game 10-10 on Christo Tzoumakas’ 24-yard field goal as the clock expired. It would be Davidson’s final points as it was held scoreless in the second half. Marist scored four second-half touchdowns, with Sonny Mannino, Carter James, and Ja’Cyion Cox each rushing for a touchdown and Mannino adding a passing touchdown. Mannino passed for 317 yards while completed 18-of-24 passes. Davidson’s Coulter Cleland completed 19-of-40 passes for 193 yards. .
