PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Penn scored 21 consecutive points to defeat Marist 28-9 in nonconference action at Franklin Field on Friday. Marist‘s methodical opening drive consumed more of the first half but only resulted in Samer Layous’ 43-yard field goal with 7:55 remaining in the first quarter. Penn responded on the game’s next drive, with Liam O’Brien throwing a 21-yard pass to give the Quakers a 7-3 lead. O’Brien ran for a 21-yard score in the second quarter, then found Jared Richardson for an 11-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter, extending the lead to 21-3. Marist would score its first touchdown on Jeremy DeCaros’s 29-yard pass to Santino Correa with 10:28 left in the game, but would not score again. Marist quarterback Will O’Dell completed 14-of-22 passes for 118 yards.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Collin Hurst threw for a touchdown and Zach Switzer ran for another in the fourth quarter as Presbyterian rallied late to remain unbeaten in 2025 with a 31-25 PFL victory against Butler on Saturday at the Sellick Bowl. Butler scored 12 consecutive points, including a pair of Ryan Short field goals, the last of which built a 22-18 lead with 11:11 remaining in the game. But on the ensuing Presbyterian drive, Hurst found Nathan Levicki for a 75-yard touchdown pass to regain the lead, 24-22, with 11 minutes left. Switzer would add an insurance touchdown with a three-yard rush with 1:00 remaining. Butler would get a late field goal from Short, but could not regain possession. Hurst completed 12-of-16 passes for 175 yards and two touchdowns. Butler’s Reagan Andrew passed for 195 yards – completing 20-of-33 passes – and ran for 115 yards and a touchdown.
St. Thomas def. Davidson, 57-13
DAVIDSON, N.C. – Joseph Kock ran for three touchdowns as part of St. Thomas’ opening 50-point outburst in a 57-13 PFL victory against Davidson on Saturday at Davidson College Field. Koch scored two rushing touchdowns in the Tommies 22-point second quarter then ran for a third in a 21-point third quarter. Davidson broke through with Coulter Cleland touchdown passes on each side of the third quarter break. Three different St. Thomas quarterbacks threw for a touchdown with starter Andy Peters completed 10-of-13 passes for 190 yards and a touchdown. Cleland completed 22-of-33 passes for 252 yards and two touchdowns.
Stetson def. Morehead State, 21-14
DELAND, Fla. – Chris Stephenson had touchdowns through the air and on the ground, leading Stetson to a 21-14 PFL victory against Morehead State on Saturday at Spec Martin Memorial Stadium. Stephenson’s 10-yard touchdown run provided the game’s first points, and his 27-yard touchdown pass to Michael Dempsey with 12:07 left in the game gave the Hatters a 21-0 lead. Morehead State mounted a furious charge in the fourth quarter, getting touchdown runs from Isaac Stopke and Jackson Lanier in the next six minutes to close within a touchdown. But Stetson milked the final 6:03 off the clock with an 11-play drive that went just 30 yards. Stephenson completed 9-of-17 passes for 93 yards and ran for 106 yards on 19 carries. Morehead State’s Bryce Patterson completed 11-of-22 passes for 167 yards.
Dayton def. Valparaiso, 41-10
VALPARAISO, Ind. – Bryce Schondelmyer threw for three touchdowns, leading Dayton to a 41-10 PFL victory against Valparaiso on Saturday at Brown Field. Dayton scored all 41 points in the first half as Schondelmyer connected with Dominic Vrbancic, Donovan Weatherly, and Michael Mussari for touchdowns. Mac Grant added a 43-yard interception return for a touchdown in the first quarter. Valparaiso got on the board with Rowan Keefe’s 25-yard touchdown pass to Brayden Welch in the fourth quarter. Schondelmyer completed 15-of-22 passes for 202 yards. Keefe completed 5-of-6 passes for 113 yards.
Drake def. San Diego, 19-16
SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Harry Balke’s 55-yard field goal at the final gun lifted Drake to a 19-16 PFL victory against San Diego on Saturday at Torero Stadium. San Diego led 13-7 at halftime and neither team scored again until Balke hit a 43-yard field goal with 14:56 left in the game, trimming the deficit to 13-10. Drake took the lead 10 minutes later as Logan Inagawa ran for a five-yard touchdown and a 16-13 lead. San Diego tied the game on the ensuing possession as Emiliano Salazar made a 41-yard field goal with 1:09 left. But a kickoff out of bounds set up quarterback Chase Spellman who ushered the Bulldogs 27 yards in seven plays to set up the game-winning field goal. Inagawa and Luke Woodson each ran for Drake touchdowns. San Diego Tyler Voss completed 14-of-28 passes for 109 yards.
