Offensive Player of the Week
Andrew Huck (BUT)
Huck ran for three touchdowns and passed for another two as Butler remained unbeaten with a 31-28 PFL victory at Dayton, Saturday. He rallied the Bulldogs from a 7-0 first quarter deficit with a pair of second quarter touchdowns and they would not trail the game’s remainder. Huck completed 12-of-29 passes for 146 yards and two touchdowns and carried the ball 12 times for 54 yards and three touchdowns. He had two seven yard touchdown carries and a 36-yard TD sprint. His seven-yard scoring pass to Dan Bohrer gave the Bulldogs the lead for good and he later added a 16-yard touchdown pass to Carter Wiley.
Defensive Player of the Week
Peter Kidwell (DAV)
Kidwell’s 30-yard interception return for a touchdown got Davidson on the board first in a 34-27 PFL victory at San Diego, Saturday. He also had four tackles (two solo) in the contest. It was the first Davidson interception return for a touchdown since the 2007 campaign. Kidwell has three interceptions this season with 105 return yards.
Special Teams Player of the Week
Jason Myers (MAR)
Myers career-long 37-yard field goal sailed through the uprights with one second remaining pushed Marist to a 23-21 non-conference win against Georgetown, Saturday. His field goal rectified his lone mistake of the day, a missed PAT on Marist’s last touchdown drive. He made 2-of-3 extra-point tries on the day. Myers also handled kickoff duties, averaging 59.0 yards on five kickoffs, including a touchback.
